    Speech-Language Pathology

Welcome to the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA) speech-language pathology website!  This website has been created by speech-language pathologists for the Alberta public.

Although it may sound cliché, communication is the very essence of being human.  Because it is such an integral component of who human beings are and what we do, it is often taken for granted.

For individuals with communication and feeding/swallowing challenges, the services of a speech-language pathologist may improve the quality of daily life.  Whether it be having a conversation with a friend, sharing a meal,  managing the academic and communication requirements of a classroom, or sharing a special moment with a loved one, speech-language pathologists are here to help.

As you scroll through the pages of this site, we hope you will learn how a speech-language pathologist can help you or someone you know.  We also want to answer your questions and provide you with the information you need.  Just ask!
